UI / UX: GiftPools.
The Design
The problem faced by the target user population (young working adults with purchasing power) is that it can be time-consuming or mind numbing to decide for a gift. This is because there is a risk of getting gifts that may not be used or well-liked by the gift receiver. In addition, even if the user knows what gift the receiver would like, they may have budget constraints.
The design solution is to crowdsource the finances and gift suggestions from the friends and families of the gift receiver. By including more friends and families, there is a greater chance of choosing a gift the receiver will like since there is more ‘data’ about the receiver. Secondly, pooling money together lets people have more gifts options with its more flexible budget.
